Sonali Fiske is a woman-identified, Sri Lankan-born, California-grown leadership mentor, radio talk show host, spoken word artist, writer, international speaker, and mama to one teenaged-son. Her everyday work is to fortify and amplify revolutionary BIPoC* voices in a collapsing white-dominant, colonized landscape. Her other devotions are centering racial justice and social change on her show, writing to heal, ocean talk as soul survival & her mother’s rice & curry.
Sonali is also a part of the local International Council of Interfaith & Indigenous Women.
She speaks 3 languages, has visited 32 countries (so far), and is living out her life story in Orange County, CA.
Alison has been in the Human Resources industry for over 20 years, with certifications from International Coaches Federation, Transform Coaching Academy, Birkman, DISC, and Strengthfinder. As an HR recruiter, she loved strategizing with the client and the candidates to create a win-win for both. This experience contributes to her unique ability as a leadership strategist.
She recently earned accreditation as an End of Life Doula to help the dying recognize the meaning of their life, create open discussion between the dying and their loved ones, and guide the family through their emotions after their loved one has passed.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Jamii Linguists, Jamila leads a multilingual communications team dedicated to helping people leverage the power of language to create change.
Her journey as a linguist began with receiving her certification in Simultaneous Interpretation from Howard University where she trained with United Nations (UN) interpreters and participated in on-site field training at the UN headquarters in New York City. During her time at Howard University, she also obtained a BA in Political Science/Spanish. Jamila complements her advocacy skills with a law degree and graduate certificate in international human rights from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
